A spontaneous three-generation Sunday dinner and the food was amazing. A very knowledgeable server who answered questions, made suggestions, and was extremely attentive throughout the meal. We had ordered a to go dish to take to someone who could not attend, and it miraculously showed up with perfect timing with the check..Cornbread was an amazing starter,  the catfish and grits was impeccably seasoned, but the seafood pasta special was the best. The food and drinks were excellent. Had great cornbread, gumbo, etouffee, catfish and fried chicken. All very good plus craft cocktails and nice beer selection. The only downside was we sat outside and were not a priority. Was a good 15 minutes before we got our drinks and our server forgot to put in one item. He did offer up a comp dessert which was respectable.
Our Thursday night Supper Club tried Big Jones this week. We ordered the relish tray to start, and most of the selections were tasty. We also ordered the cornbread and the sweet potato biscuits to share. The biscuits were delicious, and the cornbread was just okay. We then ordered the catfish entree and the shrimp and grits entree. Both were exceptional—the grits were the best I ever tasted. For dessert, we ordered the peach and blackberry cobbler—we inhaled it; so good. All...
