We celebrated my husbands birthday here last night and had a wonderful time. The food was amazing, and so was the service. It was a great experience and we can’t wait to go back and bring more friends this time, so they can discover it, too!

Came to Chicago for the weekend and our 7 year anniversary. Chose Bistro Monadnock, and what an amazing choice. Everything from the ambiance to the service, even the head chef bringing out the charcuterie board to explain the types of meats and cheeses. Top notch place had a wonderful night for our anniversary. Thank you so much. Simon was amazing the Rabbit pot was amazing. Will be back next time in town

Feels much like your favorite Bistro in Paris (except here, there is more room between tables). The food is quite good and the succor was friendly and efficient. Be warned that the portion sizes are generous. I split a Croque Madame with my wife and we each had an onion soup. That was a very large lunch.

Excellent all around. Food, drinks, service, happy hour 10/10. Eric is a fantastic bartender and reason to keep coming back. Petition to add the Caesar to the dinner menu!

Food was immaculate, vibe was chill. I went with a group that wasn’t used to going to expensive places like this and the service was very nice. However, beware when they ask you if you want cheese on the charcuterie board they charge you $10 per cheese.

The food and service at this little gem are top notch. Sam was a great incredibly attentive server!

I stopped in here while traveling for work. It was a little hard to find from the street because the door to enter is from the inside of an old timey (and very cute) shopping mall. I sat at the bar for happy hour and ordered a couple of sliders and fries (I ordered the fries at 4:30 once the dinner menu was available). My server at the bar was really pleasant and the sliders were delicious. I also enjoyed the fries and a couple of glasses of sparkling wine. I would definitely return for full dinner.

Service here is great- attentive and friendly. Food options and quality is great! Parking may be an issue.

Good food, good service, surprisingly noisy, and a bit pricey. We will be back.

I wish that I had enough time in Chicago to try everything on the menu. The Parisian gnocchi was insanely good (my first time trying the French variation), and I have never had a better martini (the Gibson). The service, atmosphere, and food were all exceptional. Regretfully, I do not have any pictures, but next time I am in town, I will be back to remedy that.

The atmosphere is enjoyable and the stay is very nice! The food was good as well. I recommend the steak tartare! We also had had the French onion soup and burger.

No wonder this place has a 4.8 rating. I will literally be dreaming about the grilled cucumber salad. The steak slider was also 10/10. Bartender said it was essentially a mini version of their burger and it was delicious! Oysters were okay. East coast were definitely better than west coast.

Sat at the bar and bartender was very pleasant! Didn’t catch her name but she was great!

Walked in for late lunch, no reservation. Sat at the zinc covered bar vs dining room. Had the grain salad and added Cornish hen, odd to me that the salad was served cold and hen on top hot, not so flavorful

Stayed through Happy Hour transition, a few regulars at the bar. At 3:30 the lights went dim, also odd as it was a cold dark day anyway.

Multiple entrances from in & outside the building, accessible restroom.

Excellent service from female bartender.

Excellent ambience in a historic building. Cocktail came out quickly and was well prepared.

Foie Gras Terrine appetizer was tasty and came out with delightful buttered toast, but was unfortunately too cold to be easily spreadable. It took longer than I would have liked to come out, although the waiter was considerate about it.

Main course was Cornish Hen with a black garlic sauce that was absolutely to die for. Delightful classic French bistro food, very rustic.

Overall high quality and good food, walked out having paid slightly more than I would have liked, and perhaps some service speed issues given it was a not notably busy Thursday night.
