My wife, daughter and I visited Chicago for the first time this past week, and after visiting the Willis tower we had lunch at Blackwood BBQ just across the street. The food was delicious! Nothing disappointed. The pulled pork and brisket were tender and all of tge sauces went well with them. The smoked beans were so tasty and the honey cornbread was light and just the right sweetness. Next Chicago trip, we'll be heading back there to eat. I highly recommend them!
I went here the other day and got their 12.99 special lunch deal. The worker was super nice and the food was so good. Only downside is parking is difficult and expensive. Food was good and vibe was good. Sad they only open for four hours.
Blackwood BBQ on Adams (211 W. Adams, Chicago) delivers a strong brisket sandwich: their pasture-raised, hand-trimmed brisket is smoked up to 15 hours and piled high on a buttered brioche bun. Pair it with the Kansas City spicy sauce (a house sauce that adds a good kick) and the combo becomes a standout. Plus, sides like housemade pickles, apple coleslaw, mac & cheese, or baked beans help round out a satisfying meal.
