Bridges overlooks Wacker and Wabash, with great views of the Marina Towers. For fun, count the number of times drivers drive over the center berm. The lobby bar serves a delightful, non-traditional take on afternoon tea at a low table and club chairs — how a civilized tea should be taken. Rather than savories as the first course followed by scones, an assorted bread basket segues into a lovely tower of goodies. I would have preferred some of the sweets to be sharper to cut through the sweetness and creaminess. However, each bite was delightful. For the spring menu, the duck confit is the star! I also would have liked a whole leaf Darjeeling but the first flush was floral and perfect for this menu. Teapots come with built-in strainers, so ask for an additional plate and remove the strainer so your tea does not over steep. These are minor nits, and they did not detract from a great, professional tea service.Wheelchair accessibility: The low tables make dining accessible.

I found the tea service here to be just ok overall. It is definitely not an elevated experience in the way many of the other tea services in the city that are. I would recommend other tea services in the city over the tea here at Bridges if you are looking for something more luxurious and treating yourself. The tea service here is situated in the lobby where other random people will just be hanging out, so the atmosphere is not as enjoyable if that’s what you’re looking for. The tea was fine, but—perhaps to be a bit too much of a snob about it—the tea leaves just continue to steep the entire time, though this probably isn’t uncommon. The sweet and savory items that are included were hit or miss. Some of the items were definitely delicious, while some others just didn’t hit the spot. The scones and cookies were the highlight for me and all pretty great. Our server was very friendly which was appreciated.

The afternoon tea was a huge disappointment. The other reviews are spot on, the food is only ok, and it is very expensive for what you get. There are no little sandwiches - seriously? Those are a staple to the whole experience in England. Go elsewhere.

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my friend's birthday at a high tea event, and I cannot say enough good things about waiter, Jax. From the moment we arrived, Jax went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was nothing short of fantastic.Jax was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the entire event. He made sure that all of our needs were met, and he even went out of his way to accommodate a special request we had for the birthday celebration. His service truly enhanced the overall atmosphere and made the event memorable for everyone in attendance.I highly recommend LondonHouse Bridges and especially Jax. His positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills are truly commendable. Thank you, Jax, for making my friend's birthday celebration one to remember!

Terribly overpriced for mediocre food (had the high tea menu for $90 per person, would’ve paid $20 per person). Decent views.

We came for afternoon tea and the food and service were great. Unfortunately due to a nearby table watching football on the big TV it was a bit noisy but that was not under the staff’s control. There was more than enough food and we ended up having to bring some home. I would love to come back!

The place - I didn't pay as close attention the the word lobby, but the fact that people are checking in and out of the Londonhouse while you're having your tea, takes away from the vibe, at least a little. It was a cold and rainy day so was excited to warm up, but no one was at the front podium for 5 minutes when I arrived. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning that it's a different, lesser level of service and attention than say at the Langham or the Peninsula, but you're also paying differently for those experiences. Our server at first brought the wrong kind of tea for my sis in law, but promptly fixed it. Service was prompt in the beginning, but then sort of left us be. That was mostly fine by us. The taste - the pastries - yum!! So decadent. Most of the bites were delicious. It's a lot of food and we didn't quite finish it all, but it was an absolute lovely way to kick off the holiday season. My face - so the holiday tea was $95 a person, but they apply a service charge, so it was actually $120 pp. I'm not a fan of not being transparent - and maybe they have it disclosed somewhere, but especially for the sort of lack of service- or limited amount of checking in, 20% felt like that was fine, but I wasn't keen on the idea of tipping more beyond that, and honestly I'm not sure what's expected. I might go back again, but only for a special occasion.

Went for the holiday tea and absolutely loved every bit of it. Price was high but ever thing from service, food and drinks were delicious and we would do it again.

Attended the holiday tea service, which was underwhelming and overpriced for the offering. The presentation was fine but the tea selection wasn’t great and food was subpar, especially the sweet options. Would not recommend.

My friend suggested this place and we paid deposit, on the d day I checked google maps for directions and saw the reviews, I was a little disappointed that I didn’t even bother checking reviews before agreeing, so it was a case of “there’s only one way to find out.But we had a very good experience, our server was very friendly and helpful, I enjoyed majority of the options provided, the warm scone was part of my top 3, we made a list of our favorite as we ate.I’m giving 4 stars because I think it’s overpriced and the automatic 20% gratuity ?

Food was fine but nothing exceptional. Service was luke-warm and inattentive. Served the wrong tea. No one came to see if everything was ok. Seating was uncomfortable. Low tables with strange seats that constrict shoulders. Sat beside bar whilst the restaurant manager stood beside us the entire time making it difficult for private conversation. Overall not the kind of atmosphere suitable for tea. Would not recommend.

Do not try the 'AFTERNOON TEA'... The ambience feels like you're in a lobby. The service is very mediocre. The tea served was disappointing; I'd rather buy a tea bag. There were so many herbs floating, and they don't even provide a filter when I asked for it. The menu consists only of mostly sweets and savories. Felt like I was about to puke from eating too much sugar. Adding to the frustration is an automatic 20% service charge deduction for unsatisfactory service. If my friend hadn't stopped me from complaining, she feared they might tamper with our food/drink. I would have said something there. I'm not one to leave reviews, but this experience was truly disappointing. My friends and I are definitely not coming back. All of us were not happy.

Bridges Grill at the LondonHouse for holiday tea. The atmosphere was OK. I loved that we had a table for two overlooking the river which was beautiful. The holiday decor was nice, but not over the top. The space overall is a bar and front desk for the hotel so it took away from the holiday tea atmosphere. For example, there were people sitting next to us with their luggage waiting to go to the airport. Totally fine, but not the atmosphere I was expecting for afternoon tea. The service was not great. We barely saw our server through tea service and had to flag someone down to order a bottle of champagne. They also never changed out our plates between savory and sweet courses. We ahad to flag someone down to get our bill when we were ready to leave. There was a built in 20% service change, so I understand now there was not a lot of incentive to create a pleasing service experience. The food was ok. The bread basket and sweets were good. I would honestly skip the savories which were cold. I think I prefer more traditional tea sandwiches for tea than cold appetizers.

Came here with my two best friends to celebrate a joint birthday, and we just genuinely wanted to experience High Tea and we were intrigued by their holiday menu. The seating here is limited because it's part of the lobby, but it makes it a quaint experience. The view is not bad for only being on the second floor. Jax took care of us and he was absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable and friendly, and just overall charming. I opted for the banana chai tea, it was amazing all by itself that I didn't need any cream/milk. The cookies and scones at the beginning were tasty as well. The presentation was super cute and everything was tasty and there was enough for each person where I was actually full and couldn't finish everything that was served. Overall this was a very cute experience and I would definitely go back.
