Loved briny swine for Thursday night trivia! The perfect BBQ comfort food & light, fresh seafood for pairing. Their draft beers are rotational & so refreshing. Can’t wait to go back this summer when they open up the window walls!
We stopped into Briny Swine a few Friday nights ago to check out their live music, and now I’m honestly mad we hadn't gone sooner. We’ve walked past this place so many times and had no idea what was happening inside!
The band that night was amazing and gave the whole place this fun, lively energy without feeling too loud or overwhelming. I ordered the chili and it instantly became my favorite thing of the night, super flavorful and hearty on a cold Chicago winter night.

Good barbecue in Chicago Is surprisingly hard to come by. You would think that a world class city like Chicago would have a lot of good choices for barbecue, but sadly it does not. Briny Swine Smokehouse & Oyster Bar provides an authentic Carolina experience with a spacious setting. The food is incredible, reminiscent of Charleston, with delicious and generous portions that make it a great spot for a smokehouse meal. The restaurant is known for its excellent food, service, and drinks. Guests often enjoy the hushpuppies and fried green tomatoes, which come with tasty toppings like crab and bacon jam. The menu features meats such as backyard bbq chicken, pulled pork, and pork belly. The chicken is juicy and well seasoned, though some found the pork belly and pulled pork dry. The house-made sauces are highly recommended, especially the ones on the chicken. The staff is attentive and thoughtful, sometimes sending desserts like seasonal cobbler as a kind gesture. Overall, Briny Swine is a wonderful place to visit, especially for those who love BBQ and oysters, offering a laid-back vibe, friendly service, and live music.
