Nice spot, great coffee and vibes. I like the amenities especially for remote workers to get out of the house and have somewhere nice to work and have great coffee. Lastly, I like that they also have opportunities for families to participate in activities. Great community spot!!

Saw Build written up and have been eager to try it out. Picked up a sandwich and a cold brew. OMG the Yam What I Yam is so freaking good! It might seem expensive, but totally worth it. Generous portion and a great mix of flavors. Atmosphere / vibe is appealing but the inside layout just feels a little clunky. Staff was really nice and not a long wait for my to-go order.

Great coffee, several vegan options and wholesome vibes! The rose and cardamom lattes are amazing.
Amazing hot breakfast sandwich, purchased on my way to the farmers market. A must try!

Warm and inviting atmosphere! I especially like the almost hidden patio that feels like visiting old friends in their backyard. The elote pasta salad was refreshing and full of flavor. The perfect dish for a hot summer day.

Quaint coffee shop with great coffee drinks and interesting selection of books, with a section by local authors

The breakfast sandwich was soooo good and filling, especially the sauce on it! Went during the farmers market and sat in the little outdoor garden. Good coffee and good vibes!

I can’t believe I just discovered this place! Close to the UChicago campus, great coffee, cool outdoor patio. I didn’t eat any food but the menu looked good.

I love this cute little building! Also the lighting inside is perfect which is rare. The iced vanilla latte was delicious! It’s a little loud and a little squished but in a good way. I’ll definitely be back!
One of my favorite spots in Chicago, and I try to stop by every time I'm in town. Great coffee, incredible book/zine selection for sale, and overall a laid-back yet conscious vibe. And the breakfast sandwiches are incredibly delicious! Especially the Little One and Two, which is named for some community cats who hang out in the courtyard.
The Farmer's Market Saturdays have a more limited menu but are absolutely worth it too! Especially so since Build Coffee sells loaves of the bread from the bakery they source for the sandwiches.
Really can't recommend Build Coffee highly enough! It's the kind of coffee shop I wish was right down the street in my city.

Their rose cardamom coffee is the best! I tried their Little one&two, and it's amazing! I just wish they had gluten-free bread and plant based protein alternatives, but the slaw + the chili spread with the honey and scrambled eggs was really good. The only thing gluten-free at this cafe are their packaged cookies :(. The only vegan + GF item is their salad fyi. Their outdoor area could use a little help, but it does the job.

Their coffee tastes really good, and so does their two egg sandwich. I love the hole-in-the-wall vibe as well.

Cool place but a little loud since it's a small venue. It's a tight squeeze but cozy.
Kid-friendliness: Not exactly kid-friendly, but it can be workable.
Wheelchair accessibility: No, it's not wheelchair accessible. There are a couple of awkward steps to get into the building and then into the cafe.
