I don't drink coffee. deserves 5 stars, really wanted to give 3 stars for being closed on sundays, had to add 1 star for presumably treating your workers well by having at least 1 weekend day off.

LOL, I waited 20 minutes for my coffee. I guess if the barista wasn’t chatting with a friend, the process would’ve gone much quicker. And the coffee was awful.

Wonderful campus cafe serving great coffee and teas and the most delicious sandwiches. The beet pastrami and the francisco were awesome

This is such a cute spot to hang out and work. Love the mission to build community--this can truly be felt when you're there! Bonus is the good coffee and food.

While not new to Build Coffee, this was my first visit under new owners. I and the friend accompanying me knew with our first bites that we'll soon be back! Thank you, Demi (service) and Chef Christian (DELICIOUS food). I'm still thinking about Little One & Two.

Hands down the best coffee shop in Chicago. The staff, the coffee and food, the vibe. It is truly the best Chicago has to offer. A place to talk with friends, to think on your own, to meet cool new peeps in passing. It is a rare spot and an incredible find.

One of the gems of the South Side. Every time I come the food is great. The tea is good. The people are friendly.

Literally the best coffee shop/meeting space/mini bookstore (have you seen the zine collection?!?!)/artist display/comfy culture cafe on the south side.

The seasonal rotating lattes are a must try; NOT overly sweet and always strong enough (s/o to a cafe that pulls dbl shots only!!). The team is always so welcoming and I trust them :) My week is not complete if I haven’t made a visit at least once.

Come through, neighbors!

Build is a lovely space where you can spend quiet time with great coffee and a book or find new friends. I love the sense of community I feel when I am there!

Build Coffee is such a special place. Yes, the food is delicious and coffee is on point for me as a coffee-addict. But it's really the welcoming, creative environment that draws me here. Last summer, I got a chance to sip and savor in the covered patio area. It was cool and cozy, and I got a chance to unwind from a long week by using the coloring books and crayons at the table and playing a board game with a friend visiting from out of town. This is a special place made by special people.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at BCAB. Not only did I witness the staff refuse service to a female law enforcement officer for no apparent reason, which was shocking and unacceptable, but the quality of my order was abysmal. I found a long hair in my sandwich, which completely ruined my appetite and raised serious concerns about hygiene. The lack of professionalism and basic cleanliness makes this place a hard pass. I won’t be returning and strongly advise others to steer clear.

No weapon policy is ridiculous. Glady will take my business somewhere else.
