I wish this place the best. I am glad they are around.Still, i have to be honest. I don't know who these people are who are saying the patties here are outstanding. Are you kidding me? "Dem nuh readi!" as we would say in Jamaica. I have tried the chicken and beef flavors over and over hoping that they would improve, but they are just not good. The patty crust is the worse. It's kinda like pie crust. The filling is bland to say the least. You folks who are saying this is good...Really!?I really want the patties here to be good. I keep wishing over the years visiting every now and then to try them but each time I am disappointed. "Dear owners, can you please just make the extra little effort to make authentic Jamaican patties? How hard can it be? Plus you would get a lot more business."A sincere customer.

These are the best beef patties I've had outside of Jamaica! The crust is perfect and the filling is savory and perfectly seasoned. I love stopping by to grab a beef patty (or 3) every now and then. I recently tried their carrot cake and it was good and I would definitely try it again. This is a 'get your food and go' type of spot so there's not much to say about the ambiance. Service is usually quick, I've only ever stood in line once or twice but the line moves quickly.

Today 12/23/2023 I was in line waiting to order my food when an older gentleman came back to get an explanation about his bill, the cashier answered the gentleman very disrespectfully using derogatory language even the customers that were waiting in line were shocked and appauled of her behavior. I will have to think twice if I need to go back to this establishment.
I started working in this baker at 18 years old. Im now 57 years old. I've visited pretty much every Caribbean restaurant in Illinois, and the taste and ingredients used are unmatched. I've never eaten a better tasting Pattie with a better crust, nor desserts with the exception of the food I consumed while living in Trelawny (Jamaica). This place is a must visit and if you have visitors from home (Jamaica) this is a mandatory stop! If ver the last 40 years the quality and taste has remained the same. Mr. Mac (Son) has managed to maintain the quality and fine ingredients of these products. I can honestly say everything tastes the same. It's all amazing. I do have to maintain my integrity by being honest and telling the whole truth. Either my hands have gotten bigger or the patties have gotten smaller. Also the customer service was amazing back then because I was at the front counter. It's a good thing the products are great because the lady at the front counter is not the friendlies.

I stopped by this establishment while visiting my brother. For some years, he'd pointed this bakery out as having amazing Caribbean food, and finally, this visit we went.It was almost unbearably hot while we waited for j*** chicken and sides to be plated. Then we ordered 4 beef patties. I found the absolutely bored woman behind the bakery counter who checked us out to be quite funny. I'd prolly have the same attitude if I worked there.After we paid, we took the food to my brother's place to eat - there are no seats in the bakery, it's definitely a to-go spot.The patties were pretty standard and good. However, I was underwhelmed by the j*** chicken, peas and rice, and the cabbage. Given how my brother has sung their praises for YEARS, I'd expected to be blown away. I wasn't.Decent, but I've had better Caribbean food elsewhere.

Great variety of patties! My favorite is their Beef Patty; they also have vegetable, curry chicken and j*** chicken patties. They are delicious. Each time I’m in the area I stop by for their patties or desserts.
