I started working in this baker at 18 years old. Im now 57 years old. I've visited pretty much every Caribbean restaurant in Illinois, and the taste and ingredients used are unmatched. I've never eaten a better tasting Pattie with a better crust, nor desserts with the exception of the food I consumed while living in Trelawny (Jamaica). These are the best beef patties I've had outside of Jamaica! The crust is perfect and the filling is savory and perfectly seasoned. I love stopping by to grab a beef patty (or 3) every now and then. I recently tried their carrot cake and it was good and I would definitely try it again. This is a 'get your food and go' type of spot so there's not much to say about the ambiance. Service is usually quick, I've only ever stood in line once or twice but the line moves quickly.
