I had shrimp wrap and crab shrimp dip. Shrimp wrap is tasty. Crab and shrimp dip should be renamed as a spread absolutely no meat in the dip. The chips were good. Drinks were very good and I love the atmosphere.
The food was disappointing, at best. Below average chef. My friend ordered the short rib tacos and wings. The tacos were fried (bad idea with a fatty meat) and very very greasy. The wings were actually big, tasty and cooked just right. I ordered the tempura chicken salad and had to send it back. Who fries tempura chicken (it was a fried patty that had been chopped, not indicated on the menu)? The salad was filled with a mayo based overly creamy dressing. I tried the salmon...
When I visit Chicago, Chant Restaurant is my favorite in Hyde Park. I hosted a Girl's Trip and took the ladies to experience the delicious food and awesome drinks. We had a great time. The food, service and atmosphere was superb! Thank you Aldo and your staff!
