Chez Joël is a charming French restaurant in Chicago, offering delicious food at a good value. The patio dining experience under a large tree is some of the best in the city, adding to the lovely atmosphere. Guests appreciate the wonderful and attentive service. The menu features authentic and creative Southern French cuisine, with dishes like the duck liver pate and Bouillabaisse. The fish is pan seared with seaweed decoration on top of vegetables, and the pate is excellent with mustard seeds and fruit pickles. Service is warm and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. It is a hidden gem in the city, highly recommended for those seeking an intimate and upscale dining experience in Chicago, especially on summer evenings outdoors.
