The vibe at 100 East Chestnut Street was lively yet cozy, with soft lighting and a touch of old-world charm. It was packed on the NFL 100th anniversary eve, but the staff, like Miguel and my server, were attentive and warm. The steak was juicy, the bread buttery, and the soup rich—portions generous without being overwhelming. Waited 30 minutes at the bar before being seated, though; maybe book ahead if possible. We loved this place, from the name to the service. They menu offered something for everyone and we had a terrific lunch prior to catching the train. I highly recommend this place if you are visiting Chicago. I loved the Bears and Ditka in particular when I was growing up, so of course we had to come here when we were in Chicago for my birthday. We popped in here on a cold night We were greeted by James who brought us though the menu got us a few beers The food arrived exactly as expected We left happy / full and surprised how reasonable the bill was
