If you've been to Dat Dog in NOLA, then Doggone's will feel like you're visiting it's sibling up north. Nothing like a crayfish dog when you're feeling like Cajun food. Get the NOLA dog, it's both delicious and authentic.
If you want amazing quality, artisan hot dogs at a great price point then this convenient location is for you. It's on the corner, with lots of street parking, which is inexpensive. So many different options for the hotdogs, even including crawfish! The Nola dog, and the Chicago dog were the two I tried and I was absolutely blown away.

Ordered a bunch of dogs to share. There were definitely some stand out favorites and some others that could have done without certain toppings. I’d say the build your own would be the way to go, but they seem to really skimp on the toppings when you do it that way. Definitely cannot be compared to Hot Doug’s as they don’t make their own, and some of the dogs stand out as being better than others. Stop in and try it for yourself!!
