Worker on the premises is very miserable and disrespectful to people. Instead of doing his job playing with meat like he likes to he finds time to disrespect females.

Very nice staff. Lots of meet selections available . Great pricing too. It's a butcher shop, so nothing pretty, but straight to the point. Located on the main street. Lots of parking. I purchased tomahawk steaks ,chicken strips, and a slab of ribs. While I was in, another customer came in and started raving about loving the meet and the selections provided. Food was packaged up nicely for me and the staff even offered to help me carry the food to the car. Very nice customer service.

Great local meat company, excellent meat & poultry items. And their burgers are the best around. Superior service and location in the Jefferson Park area. I highly recommend this business. Their quality & prices are much better than your average grocery store. And their selection is amazing to choose from.

I can't understand what people are talking about. I purchased ground beef and I would not of fed it too a dog. Absolutely the worst meat I have never had. The inside of this place looks like a dog kennel. People save your money and time.

I love this place. Bob is a person who is very nice helpful and knows the products
I had a Costco membership but when they stopped accepting cash at the food court that was the sign it was time to bail. Business's should accept as many payment systems as possible. Ellengee Market has been here it seems forever. Nestled next to the Metra tracks just north of the car wash. I've purchased 5 products over the past 7 months from Ellengee Market;Hot Dogs,Burgers,Gyros,Meatballs and Cheddar Jalapeno Beef brats. The hot dogs are the Eisenberg brand;skinless all beef, 8/1(8 to a pound) These are quite tasty, they remind me of David Berg yet a 10# box will be $10 cheaper than Vienna Beef. Or you can get a 5# bag;40 hot dogs enclosed. Next up was the burgers. Frozen;4/1 cooks without shrinking with a little fat which is needed when cooking burgers. And tasty as well. And for beef a very good price. If you want to make gyros at home purchase the 5# box of pre-sliced gyros meat. About 120 slices in the box and 4-5 slices will be enough to make your gyros with. The Fontanini cooked italian meatballs are quite good. I purchased the 5# 1 &1/2" ones that are perfect for sandwiches or pasta. All that's needed is a little sauce to cook them in. Made with pork and beef. Lastly the Jalapeno cheddar beef brats. Large and good by themselves or with mustard. And there are many other products as well. Each week the price list is updated which can be found on their website. Credit cards or Cash. If you want to pay wholesale prices without a membership give Ellengee Market a try.

I had reserved a specific cut of beef tenderloin (Chateaubriand) at a different store for Valentine's Day, and they didn't notify me it was out of stock until I arrived. Last minute, someone highly recommended Ellengee Market, so I called them an hour before close. Gordon was extremely helpful and Juan the butcher was able to prepare the cut right away. Service was fantastic, and huge thanks to both of them for the help at the last minute. The dish I made was Beef Wellington, and the tenderloin was drop dead amazing. Highly encourage anyone looking for a local butcher to check them out.
