As of June 2023 this is now called Kirei. It's a Japanese-American fusion restaurant in the Whitehall hotel. We had an excellent breakfast and others around us gave equally high praise on their breakfast. Looking forward to returning for dinner.
I had been craving pizza and hadn't been back here for a long time. It's part of the Whithall Hotel and it's never very busy. I'm glad I made the time to go back. The same chef is still making her delicious thin crust pizza. While my favorite pizza is Spaca Napoli, I can say this is my favorite in the Gold Coast area. Rooms (and there were many to choose from) were the best part of this restaurant. Service was extremely slow. Had to go find waitress to bring us menus and waters. When she finally brought out the charcuterie plate it was underwhelming. Soups and salads and entrees were practically brought out at the same time! We had to keep asking for our waters to be refilled. Oh, and we were overcharged. Luckily we caught the error and they fixed the bill. Would not recommend or be back.
