The food was delicious drinks too. Service was on point and excellent. Happy hour saved on appetizer price . They were excellent as well. Price point was fine. Sushi was great for my first time. My daughter enjoyed the noodle soup and her birthday treat. Delicious cheese cake with a chocolate spoon. Highly recommend!!!
We were there on one of the slow days and we were blown away. Our server was so attentive and kind to us even though it was just him there. We were there for 2 hours but we were never rushed and welcomed to stay as long as we wanted. When he brought out the food, we were shocked at how great the quality was. The tonkatsu tasted so fresh and light, the appetizers were bursting with rich and savory flavors and the strawberry cake was so light and airy. We were so surprised with...read full review
Kirei Chicago doesn’t try to impress you. It just does.
Great location. The kind of room that attracts a sharp, interesting crowd without trying too hard. You walk in, and it feels like the right decision.
Happy hour is where they separate themselves. Tight menu. No wasted space. Everything earns its place.

Kirei is a stylish Asian-style sit-down restaurant located in an expensive area within the Magnificent Mile, associated with a hotel. The restaurant is known for its wonderful and fantastic food, featuring items like roasted pork, duck, steak salad, eel roll, and salmon avocado roll. The duck, which comes with buns and sauce, is reminiscent of Peking duck, while the steak is tender and cooked well. Customers have enjoyed dishes such as pork dumplings, pork Berkshire, and beef noodle soup, which are considered some of the tastier options on the menu. The food quality is generally good, and the presentation is excellent. Some reviews mention that the portions can be smaller and prices higher, but the friendly and hospitable staff help make the experience worthwhile. The restaurant offers a cozy atmosphere, especially suited for breakfast, with dishes like the 3-egg omelette. Overall, Kirei is recognized for its modern Asian cuisine, fresh ingredients, and attractive presentation, making it a solid choice in River North. The aesthetic is very nice, and the ambiance adds to the dining experience, although the menu is broad and sometimes lacks focus with options like pizza. Despite some variability in service and food, many guests find it a good place to enjoy a reasonable and enjoyable meal.
