Pizza was good. Lasagna was great. Server was amazing. Little weird we had to sit outside because their ac doesn't work. And I felt it was overpriced for what it was.

Tastes just like NYC thin crust pizza that I miss from my time in NYC. Perfect crust, really friendly service! Will definitely come again

We had a group of 7 and our server was so attentive, answering all of our questions and all the recommendations were on point. He was very helpful with a nut allergy. The pizza was delicious as well as the lasagna. The lemon sorbet was just the right amount of sweet and tart. We will definitely be back.

We read the online reviews & were not disappointed! Our waiter Alex was attentive & made excellent recommendations! Our drinks were delicious, our salad was full of fresh ingredients & the pizza was amazing! Definitely have the tiramisu. Alex brought us ice cold lemoncelluo before we left. We will be back on our next trip to Chicago!!!

Just got back from Italy and was craving tiramisu. Forno Mauri did not disappoint!

From the texture to the taste, the tiramisu was so soft, moist and flavorful. Felt like I’m back in Italy ❤️ Definitely coming back again.

Amazing place for pizza, it's truly authentic Italian pizza with excellent staff. Alex was our server and he was outstanding.

We wanted to like this place, especially since our favorite hotel doorman (hats off to Showtime) recommended it. The pizza was okay, but the salad was not very good, poorly tossed together and more or less tasteless. And the inside was crazy hot to the point of feeling muggy, so we sat outside even though it was slightly too cool for how we were dressed. Better to feel a chill than to sweat while you're eating... Anyway, no offense but we will not be returning!

Authentic Italian pizza. Very flavorful. My only qualm was that they were understaffed, and while our server was very friendly, he and the other server were running around like it was a crazy busy diner and that’s not the vibe I think Forno Mauri is about. I know it’s not their fault really since they’re understaffed, so I felt bad for them. But, it wasn’t very busy when we went and their running around (while also messing up our order) created a chaotic and anxious environment. Also, it seemed that everyone else dining was very patient and not demanding, so not sure why they felt they had to run for each task. Hopefully they’ll be better staffed soon so it doesn’t mess up the atmosphere since the food is good!

Delicious neopolitan pizza! The sauce is very nice and flavorful. The basil is fresh. The service is great too! The place unfortunately has been fairly empty whenever we have visited ( 3 or 4 times), so the vibe isn't there. We will keep coming back for the pizza and recommending to our friends. I hope they add some more veggies pizza options. When they first opened, there were actual Italian staff... That has since changed.

I would not recommend this restaurant for takeout. Not only are you not able to order online or over the phone, this pizza simply did not travel well at all. The cheese and toppings didn’t stay on the dough and it was a bit of a mess to eat. Flavor wise it was good and I’m sure it’s better in the restaurant. The salad was uninspiring I’d say and pricey for what you get. Charging $12 for a 12oz beer even in south loop is a bit crazy though. This isn’t an expensive steakhouse and a Sierra Nevada is not THAT fancy of a beer. Friendly service and nice patio.

This place stole my money. Bill came to $70, I selected the option to tip 20% which the handheld reader said was $16 (it would actually be $14 but thats how these places get you). Whatever maybe they need the $2 more than I do. I checked my credit card statement and they end up charging me $96 total. A $26 tip when I only agreed to 20%. If I cared more I would sue. That all was just the cherry on top. We arrived at about 7:30pm when they weren’t closing until 10, waiter was visibly annoyed he had to take us (place wasn’t busy) and said he “wasn’t expecting” to have to serve us. Underwhelming caprese salad (ingredients were low quality when that is literally what makes the dish) but pizza was delicious. I think we just went on a weird night but be wary of the tip scamming on those handheld card scanners, make sure your total comes out to what you agreed to.

We shared a burrata salad that was fresh and wonderful. Then two pizza split between four. Flavors lovely; thin crust exceptional. Disappointed that we needed to sit outside on a very hot/humid day. We were told that the air conditioning could not keep up with the pizza ovens and it was too hot inside. Would have enjoyed the meal much more if it were a bit cooler.
