Been there several times before shows at the Steppenwolf, always a great time! All of the food I have had has been great but I gave it 4 ⭐️only because they run out of things quickly. The bar staff is wonderful, especially Rachel, she is very friendly and remembers me each time I come in. I wish I knew the other girl’s name because she is also really good. I wish I lived closer to go when there isn’t a show going on!

With a few notable exceptions, the bar staff is atrocious. I have watched numerous times how they are only attentive to customers in their own demographic and ignore/slight the rest of us. Is the labor market so tight that Steppenwolf has to put up with such egregious customer service?

Stopped by Front Bar before catching a show at Steppenwolf, and it did not disappoint. The space is cozy with a modern, artistic vibe—perfect for grabbing a drink or a bite. I had the truffled mushroom flatbread and a Snappy Comeback cocktail, both were top-notch. Service was friendly, and the ambiance was just right for a pre-show hangout. Definitely a solid spot in Lincoln Park.

Hit up Front Bar before catching a show at Steppenwolf, and man, it didn't disappoint. The vibe's super chill, perfect for pre-show hangs. Ordered the truffled mushroom flatbread—absolutely delish with that balsamic kick—and the short rib grilled cheese, which was melt-in-your-mouth good. Pair that with a solid craft cocktail, and you're set. Dropped about $35, totally worth it for the quality and atmosphere. If you're in Lincoln Park and need a spot to unwind, Front Bar's got you covered.

Love, love Steppenwolf, but the food here is... interesting. Like bad cafeteria style. The "hoagie"? ??? Or the hummus?? Had better at a gas station. The coffee is great and the drinks at the bar are also. But as to the food... it''s like Melania would say: "Be Best!" ?
Nice place /Bar to socialize. Watch sporting events and just to have a nice meal. Food is good, service is fast, drinks are great! & everything has a great cozy feeling. I would assume it's a trendy great spot for a weekend hangout on a Friday or Sarurday night

Great space in the theatre building to grab a drink and a snack before a show! We come here every time before a play to have a cocktail. Bartenders are lovely and the staff at the food/cafe area are great! Small selection for food, but works if you want just something little!

Part of Steppenwolf theatre, they have quick meals like chicken salad croissants, sliders, mini-pizza's. Chips, coffee and pastries, all very good.

Food is like from a vending machine. Microwaved Flatbread. Not good at all. Staff is nice and helpful. Wine was fine.
