Fry the Coop, located in Portage Park, is well known for its flavorful chicken and friendly service. The menu features various spice levels for their chicken sandwiches, including popular choices like the spicy honey butter chicken sandwich, which has been praised for its flavor, spiciness, and juiciness. Customers often enjoy the carry-out style, as the restaurant has limited indoor seating and a small outdoor patio. The food is quick and tasty, with sides such as fresh-cut fries and cheese sauce that pair well with the chicken. Recent reviews highlight the friendly staff, delicious food, and the option for delivery, though some mention the prices being a bit high. The atmosphere is lively and cheerful, making Fry the Coop a favorite for chicken sandwich lovers who want good food at reasonable prices. The new SMACK wraps are also highly recommended, with many praising the perfect chicken to sauce and cole slaw ratio. Overall, Fry the Coop continues to be a top spot for hot chicken in the area.
