Went there first time for open mic on Thursday night ! It was nice seeing all the artist playing songs by signing your name ! Had 21 performances lined up! The bar is quite friendly and chance to meet artists! I also joined the gang and end up playing few songs from nirvana!

Anyone looking for authentic music must visit there for creativity

I came to visit Chicago from Boston and this was the first result in Google for blues jams on a Tuesday night. The atmosphere was so fun, so welcoming, so kind, and so full of infectious energy. As a queer woman, I felt very safe here. And the fact that most of the beers were local helped a ton. Had a great time and would be very excited to come back!!

Clarification: It's loud because there's live music quite often. I don't mean it as a bad thing.

My band plays there frequently and it is hands down my favorite music venue in Chicago. Garret is friendly, supportive and really cares about the bands he books. Whether you're an up and coming act or an established one who can pack the house, he treats you with the same level of respect and attentiveness. He's passionate about music and it shows.
The rest of the staff is just as professional and friendly as the boss. Even the customers are enthusiastic and supportive. The atmosphere is one of the most positive and welcoming of any venue anywhere. and the icing on the cake is that they never charge a cover.
The sound system is incredible, much better than one might expect for a room this size. They even provide a house drum kit and a variety of guitars and amps, plus a full grand piano, all of which are maintained wonderfully. I can't recommend this place enough, whether you're in a band or just love experiencing live music.

Hello Diane, today I had a quaint day at the Gallery Cabaret. Much yearning to be done at such a venue. I pondered profound philosophies while sipping on my damn fine Budweiser. Greatest Jack's Pizza in the Windy City. The music tonight carried a je ne sais quoi, as I went on Open Mic night. Sure are a lot of talented folks in the city of Chicago. After, I was pleasantly surprised to how close it was to the Western Blue Line station. As I rode the line to O'Hare and made my way back to my hotel, where I now speak to you Diane. Over and out- Special Agent Dale Cooper
