gorilla is a go to, no frills, sushi spot for us. always has fast take out (we’ve never dined in). the food is always solid. it’s not fancy sushi by any means but it hits the spot when you’re craving it. pretty affordable too. most of the rolls are really cheap but the catch is they’re usually like 4 pieces. but i don’t mind because i can try a bunch of different ones for the same price of a single large roll.

A very nice small sushi bar. The staff are very welcoming and attentive, we got edamame, gyoza, and cucumber salad, and the unagi q roll, sweet potato roll, spicy tuna roll, and the cub roll (shrimp tempora, deep fried bell peppers, avocado, and spicy mayo). All of the food was absolutely delicious, the service was quick and for dessert we had the brown sugar Boba ice cream bar and it was fun.

Gorilla Sushi is affordable and delicious. I pick up take out here a few times per month, and it’s always prepared quickly. I don’t know any other sushi place this good that is this reasonably priced. We will keep coming back again and again!
Parking: There is paid street parking, but the 22 bus and 72 bus also stop right here for when you don’t feel like driving. There’s also plenty of bike parking along Clark.
