Got the lunch special with orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, and an egg roll. The orange chicken stayed crispy under the sauce, which I appreciated, and the sweet and tangy flavor wasn't too much. The fried rice had plenty of shrimp and wasn't overly greasy. It's a no-frills kind of place, but the guy at the counter was really nice and got my order out quickly. The portions were big enough that I saved half for later. It's a pretty solid lunch.
Went for lunch and honestly this place is such a find. Got the orange chicken lunch special that came with shrimp fried rice an egg roll and a soda. Chicken was crispy sauce just right not too sweet. Egg roll was perfect. The guy working there was so friendly. Nothing fancy inside but the food tastes homemade and portions are huge I ate half and saved the rest. Will definitely be back.
We ordered their usual signature dishes. Although the prices have gone up their quality remained high so everyone was happy. We were all saddened by the news that this restaurant will close by the end of this year. It has been an establishment in Berkeley for almost 50 years!
