A great addition to Oak Lawn. Chill weekend spot with live music and great tasting mixed drinks. Vibe is good for middle age people like me and hubby. But I have yet to try their food

Local Cantina is a popular bar with a Latin-inspired interior, offering gourmet bar tacos that are definitely worth a visit. The owner provides a buffet spread during sports games and creates a fun, welcoming environment for events like high school reunions. The día de los muertos decor vibe adds to the unique experience, making it a great spot for daytime gatherings and nighttime fun. Recent reviews mention that the seating can be crowded, with tables and chairs being too close together at times, but many customers praise the carnitas, which are considered the best in miles. The venue offers easy parking, a lively atmosphere with good music—especially on Thursday nights—and a variety of drinks and bar food. The guacamole is highly recommended, and the overall experience is described as enjoyable, with reasonable prices and a fun vibe.
