This is my first time eating at Harold’s chicken in Chicago. The food was decent – I had the chicken and macaroni. The chicken was tasty, especially with the mild sauce, but the macaroni could use some improvements as it’s lacking seasoning. Overall, I rate 8 out of a 10. It’s worth a visit if you’re a fan of fried chicken.
The food was good I’d stick to what they’re known for which is the chicken. The fish tasted like it was previously frozen, the greens tasted like they were from the can. But the chicken, tastes like your grandma made it and that’s what mattered the most to me!
I could’ve did without the lil kids trying to hustle us out our dollars while we was eating. But I did appreciate them having a restroom.

Harolds was ok. French fries were plentiful, we ordered chicken with the sauce in the side since we had take out. The chicken was not seasoned, but the sauce added made the difference. The fries gizzards were seasoned just right. Definitely an old neighbor location for carry out only
