I had a Reuben sandwich and the soup of the day (Chicken Wildrice Stroganoff). Not the best reuben in Chicago, but certainly the best in the Loop. Moderately priced with fresh ingredients. Would recommend for a quick lunch on a workday.

I was genuinely excited to try this place, but the food was a major disappointment. The grilled cheese wasn’t grilled at all—the butter wasn’t even melted, and it was served on completely the wrong bread. I threw it away immediately and ordered the roast beef sandwich instead, which was also a letdown.
That said, the location itself is absolutely stunning. The historic Monadnock Building is a must-see and worth visiting on its own. Unfortunately, the sandwich shop doesn’t live up to the setting.
Come for the architecture, not the food.

Very mellow and laid back. They have breakfast, coffee and smoothies as well as sandwiches and soups. The Italian, corn beef sandwiches are really good as well as the clam chowder. I live nearby and it’s one of my favorite places.

The people who work there are very nice but the salad I ordered was awful. It was just iceberg lettuce in a pool of water and dry chicken. The Cesar dressing tasted a little off and I was given parm cheese that is given by pizza places. I guess that’s my own fault for getting a salad from a sandwich shop but I’m truly taken aback by the quality of food I was given.

Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch! I love the feel inside, the aesthetic and vibe is comforting. Food is awkward prepared quickly and is very tasty and fresh. The couple running the place are incredibly nice as well! Need more local shops like this in Chicago with such a local-friendly feel!

When you have a great sandwich like the one I just had at Harry’s, you’ll realize all sandwiches are not created equally. If you’re looking for a sandwich, this is the place to go.
Came by with a friend and ordered the torpedo. The bread had a good bite and they did not hold back on the meat. Staff behind the counter moved fast and got everything right. We didn’t hang around long but it was worth the walk over. Not the kind of place you hype up, just one you keep going back to. It’s one of those downtown staples that’s just there when you need it.

It was good, but the largest sandwich size was not very big (which surprised me for $17). The food did use quality ingredients and a good proportion of meat to veggies. I got the turkey club (next time I’d order the bacon extra crispy, because it wasn’t crispy at all).
