Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch! I love the feel inside, the aesthetic and vibe is comforting. Food is awkward prepared quickly and is very tasty and fresh. The couple running the place are incredibly nice as well! Need more local shops like this in Chicago with such a local-friendly feel!

Came by with a friend and ordered the torpedo. The bread had a good bite and they did not hold back on the meat. Staff behind the counter moved fast and got everything right. We didn’t hang around long but it was worth the walk over. Not the kind of place you hype up, just one you keep going back to. It’s one of those downtown staples that’s just there when you need it.

It was good, but the largest sandwich size was not very big (which surprised me for $17). The food did use quality ingredients and a good proportion of meat to veggies. I got the turkey club (next time I’d order the bacon extra crispy, because it wasn’t crispy at all).
Bad first impression. Can't rate food I never received unfortunately, cause this sandwich shop is slow. Unbelievably slow. Which is sad cause it's a mom and pop small business. The sub making area is small and in the corner so only allows 1 worker to make subs.
The location itself is pretty nice. Very clean and updated cafe style dining area. Parking a bit bad and is street and crowded. Seems to 3 workers, all family.
Considering their downtown and it was 11:40 and around lunchtime, I ordered online and paid the service fee.....so that would give them more time. Text from the online company moves order ready from 12:15 to 12:26. Okay a bit long but hey lunchtime so I understand. Go in waited a bit checked with cashier at 12:30....still not done. 5 mins they say. Now 12:40 still not done. Had to walkout as my lunch is over. Called to cancel my order. 1 hour to not make my sub.
1st impression.....not good. 2 stars cause mom and pop shop and they were at least nice and apologetic about it in shop. I do thinki try them again one more time in case this was a fluke but yeah....not good for office workers with limited lunch times.

Shop wasn't busy, I was the only one there. Order a super pastrami, was given a 8 inch sandwich. Same lady who took my order, bagged it and even repeated the order when she handed it to me. Sandwich was just ok, but very light on the meat... Will not be returning...

The best sandwich in the southern loop area. Certainly better than any Jimmy John's or Potbelly. The menu has good variety of meats/toppings! The ingredients are fresh and the owners are friendly and down to earth people. Love any chance I can to patronize this spot!
