We had an amazing experience dining at Khmai. My wife, daughter, and I all had the six course tasting menu. It was truly an experience that seemed to transport us to Cambodia. I had an engagement party for my Son and his fiancée. It was in the lawn next to our building on the lake in Chicago. A casually elegant setting. We had a lot of different food prepared professionally and I made salads, and we grilled steaks, burgers and chicken. Khmai was enlisted to do all the appetizers, some additional salads and various spreads and dips. What a great place! Took my Cambodian wife here for her birthday. So difficult to find authentic Khmer food in Chicago, and this is the real deal! Mona is so very kind and took the time at end of service to meet with us. I am awed by her family's story, and knowing her mom is in the kitchen directing the recipes just makes everything even more special! I cannot reccomend this place enough!
