La Mom Kitchen Chicago Reviews
Great dining very nice looking the staff also speak my language Chinese 👍
I don’t usually write Google reviews, but this place absolutely deserves one!
The food was outstanding. The sweet and sour chicken was easily a 20/10. Perfectly crispy on the outside, incredibly tender on the inside, and practically melted in your mouth. The house special fried rice was also excellent, with perfectly cooked shrimp, chicken, and beef. Every protein was tender and full of flavor.

La Mom Kitchen in Chicago is a great spot for authentic Shanghai-style Chinese food. The food is outstanding and delicious. The sweet and sour chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside, incredibly tender on the inside, and practically melts in your mouth. The house special fried rice is excellent, with perfectly cooked shrimp, chicken, and beef. The spring rolls are super crispy and come with an amazing sweet and spicy chili sauce. The soup dumplings are juicy and flavorful, the braised pork belly is very tender, and the Szechuan Mapo tofu is rich, spicy, and full of flavor. The Szechuan green beans are also enjoyable. The claypot eggplants, pork belly, and cauliflower are authentic and delicious. The fried fish is crispy and tasty, and the salt and pepper fried fish and chow mein with beef are highly recommended. The portions are generous, prices are excellent and reasonable, and everything tastes fresh. The service is friendly, warm, and attentive, with excellent recommendations. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, nice, and quiet, perfect for sharing with family. A free parking lot is a huge plus, though parking during peak hours could be a pain. One of the best Chinese food experiences in Chicago.
