La Plena Restaurant

Truly, a bird on top of this restaurant told me to eat here when my heart was asking for Puerto Rican food and plantains! Such a delicious meal in a family owned restaurant. I had the Lechón plate with arroz con grandules and maduro and my fiancé has the pescado jibarito. Both were SO GOOD.They give large portions and the restaurant is SUPER CLEAN. We definitely will return !

We love this place, my sister and I! We went after the Barrio Arts Fest in Humboldt Park, and our waitress was really amazing! It's not a huge menu, but everything we ate was quite delicious. We are Puerto Rican, so all this food was very nostalgic for us--the tostones were out of this planet! Everybody was soooo friendly, and there was plenty of food to take home!
