Lardon Reviews
First timers and now we will be regulars! The hospitality, atmosphere and fare were outstanding! From the knowledgeable staff, the welcoming management and the hostess that went WAY above and beyond to be sure my disabled husband was accommodated from when we booked our reservation to the end of our dining experience - we couldn’t have been more delighted! See you again soon, Lardon!
Filled out the NYE charcuterie board form too late but after giving them a call, the lovely manager made it happen for us. Everything was delicious.
Very small plastic cups of Chardonnay that were half filled for $13 each??? 7 cups = $91!!!! Horrible. Green salad wasn’t good. Ruben sandwich wasn’t good. Very disappointed.

Lardon is a top-notch restaurant in Chicago, known for its exceptional meats made in-house. The menu features delicious sandwiches, including the Reuban and Italiano, along with charcuterie and steak frites. Customers particularly praise the sandwiches for their homemade bread, chips, and pickles, which give each dish a unique taste. The Italian sandwich is often highlighted as one of the best in the city. Prices for sandwiches range from $17 to $20, and many feel the quality justifies the cost.
The restaurant offers a cozy yet inviting atmosphere, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. During warmer days, guests often enjoy dining outside on the patio. The service is friendly and quick, and despite some mentions of occasional slowness and disorganization, the pleasant staff and delicious food make up for it. Many reviews highlight the flavorful dishes, including the pastrami on rye, which features a lightly toasted marbled rye with a perfect crunch. The chips are often described as the best ever, and local Pilsner pairs nicely with the meals. The menu also includes a drink selection and coffees, making it suitable for different times of day.
Overall, Lardon provides a fantastic dining experience with flavorful dishes, attentive service, and a relaxed environment, making it a popular spot in Chicago. The drinks and desserts are also well-liked, adding to the overall appeal of the restaurant.
