We made a last minute reservations for a group of 8 that included a 12 yo with severe Celiac Disease. Lou's takes this very seriously and had everything handled wonderfully. The Gluten Free pizza was great and everything else was really good as well. Combined with excellent service and it made for a nice early dinner with family in from out of town.
Overall great food, took one of my friends from out of town to experience deep dish for the first time and it was great. One comment. The waitress did not know how many wings each of the sizes had. She referred to them as a pound or half a pound of wings. When asked roughly how many she says “Oh definitely the half a pound is smaller than a pound” (?????) and she did not know, not even a rough estimate. Guys come on... 😂 I've never encountered this. They didn't have the pre-order placed for the heart shaped pizza. After discussion, allowed us to order it. But no heart shaped cookie. I flew up from Florida, met my boyfriend from Wisconsin, and insisted we have that special for Valentines Day. Told him about the donation to a food charity too. Took a lot of the “specialness” out of it.
