I recently reached out to Mindy's for a birthday cake for my sisters birthday. The process was incredibly smooth to get my order in and confirmed. The woman who replied to my email request was kind, understanding and knowledgeable as she walked me through the whole process. They were clear up front about not doing heavy design work but since it's Mindy's, everything is always so good that I was here for the flavors not necessarily design. A very popular spot in wicker park so I made sure to arrive 25 mins before they opened and there was still a line! But the wait was definitely worth it. The bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese danish was amazing and unique, such a good savory breakfast option. You can’t go wrong with any of their coffee cakes! We got the Shirley’s Banana and peach cheesecake coffee cakes, both were delicious. Not a fan of coffee typically but the malted banana ice coffee was fantastic.
My favorite place for pastries and the staff is always so friendly! Hoping the dream bar comes back in rotation as that was my absolute favorite

Mindy's Bakery serves absolutely delicious treats, including the vodka sauce, basil and Parmesan bialy and labneh cheesecake danish. While some items, like the challah, may be bland, the hot chocolate is nearly perfect, and it is a great time to enjoy it, especially now that it's hot chocolate season. Customers often mention that the almond croissant and bagels with homemade pesto cream cheese are outstanding. The bakery is a grab-and-go place with no indoor seating, just a bar to stand at outside. Be prepared for a possible wait on Sundays, as there is usually a long line, but it goes fast and it's worth it. It's best to go early, as many items sell out daily. Popular drinks include the banana bread iced latte, which many customers love and think about often, and the banana bread cold brew, which is perfect for the fall season.
