Great pub. Feels like I'm in England. Only complaint was that the apps we got were not good. The pickle fries were somehow burnt and soggy and the hummus was ok but with it was just bland cheap untoasted pita bread and a couple carrots/celery on wilted lettuce. And it was like $14 for that. I'd go back for a drink but probably not food.
This is one of those super Chicago places that you have always seen and probably never stepped into. It's been in downtown so long, it's become wallpaper. It's a place I know I always saw at the last minute, and kept walking, until yesterday. And holy cow this place is awesome. The staff is nice. The atmosphere is just old and fun and so much to look at. The decor is establishments now is usually minimal which means boring to me. But this place feels like an old...
We got there late so we stopped for a few drinks. They have a wonderful beer selection with many imports you don't see very often. The service was excellent and I loved the decor with old beer taps and what seemed like antique light fixtures though out the bar area.
