Showed up here once with like nine people after a cold bday river boat ride, no reservation, hoping for the best, and they seated us like immediately. Granted, we got incredibly lucky, but the service was pretty awesome all things considered. And the place was packed! Everyone warmed up with a couple drinks and we were on our way. Nice cozy vibes.
Classic, cozy neighborhood bar with a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Dark wood, exposed brick, and a sense of history give it character without feeling pretentious. The beer selection is solid and the atmosphere lends itself to lingering over a few drinks and good conversation.
Great place for lunch. Fantastic burgers and salads. After work it also shines but this place is not for the lightweights, especially if you go for tap beers only. Pay attention to what you order or you may find the three beers you crushed quietly has a 10% ABV! Big selection of canned beers as well to meet just about any taste. Just don’t expect a big selection of macro domestics. In fact, don’t expect any, unless they’re at the bottom of their VERY long beer menu. Prost!
