Was so relieved to see the place hasn't turned into a tourist trap due to the restaurant's relatively new association with the Bear. Sandwich and fries were absolutely delicious and the cannoli was pretty good. Definitely worth the wait and certainly the low price.

We finally made the walk to Mr Beef for the first time the other day, and it was as good as they say. Great sandwich shop. We got the Italian beef sandwich and sub. The sandwich is 11/10 excellent. The sub was still good but definitely would recommend the sandwich over it. Will be going again. Prices are also reasonable and the French fries are SO good!

Pretty darn good sandwich. We were first inside for the day. Cash only. Very basic. Lots of space to sit down. Fast service. The beef was very tender and juicy and the peppers were some of the best I’ve had.

If you don’t know you should! The epitome of Chicago style beef. If you are visiting Chicago you have to stop and get a beef and fries. Best beef and fries in the world. Beef must be baptized which means soaked in the juice so that you get all of the flavor which is a must. The fries are fresh cut and can be cooked to your style. The vibe is a neighborhood joint. I’m from Chicago and this is not some franchise. I know the guys names and they know what I like when I walk in. Because of the Bear show it has been very busy but the employees take care of the regulars like they are family and don’t make us wait 30 minutes in line. Always will be my go to on Orleans. The best!!
