nicks is the only place I feel safe going to by myself as a woman because the bartenders and security pay attention to their customers and friends no matter what. Even if someone is making me feel uncomfortable, they act on it before i even have to go out of my way to ask for help. And if I ask, they don't question. The staff are genuine and care about people, their safety and their experience before worrying about optics. I've never left the bar without staff/friends...
A bad ass bar and watering hole!!! Very classic and classy tavern look and feel!! Elegant without being overpowering. Don't know about the food but the drinks were strong and awesome. The staff was outstanding and the band playing the day we were here was awesome. Everyone seemed to be having a great time! 12 out of 10!!

Hanging out at Nick’s in Wicker Park right now and loving the vibe. Great mix of live music and shuffleboard. Tons of local craft beers on tap, and the happy hour deals are hard to beat — $3 drafts and the “Chicago Handshake” are a must.
Shoutout to Will behind the bar — super friendly, quick with a drink, and keeping the energy up. Even when it’s busy, he’s on top of it.
