I go for the brunch and bottomless mimosas..definitely a nice Sunday vibe w/ all of the tv's turned to whatever sports game is on. While the music is setting the tone. Food is decent, wait staff is pleasant, bar staff are cool.
Wonderful experience at a fairly new restaurant and lounge modeled after a fictional bar on the Martin Lawrence Show. Beautiful atmosphere on the inside. One side is a lounge area and the other is dine in eating. Its not a large eating area, so you must make reservations. I went here for my birthday this year and really enjoyed it...especially the food, the service and my drink (Damn Gina!) I went on a Thursday around 6pm, it wasn't crowded but I appreciated the sign on the desk saying, "the whole world is short staffed please be patient with us." I had the fried catfish dinner which was very good, but I was disappointed and surprised it only came with one fillet. Gene's Greens were delicious!! They don't call them that but they should. Chef Gene said he uses his grandmother's recipe, this should definitely be a staple on the menu! I'll definitely be back.
