Northshore Kosher Bakery makes the best custom cakes. They are so creative and wonderful to have make your cakes.

love the girls who work at North Shore. great people. hands down the best seeded rye bread in Chicago. the only bakery I know that still makes pumpernickel bread. ain't cheap but their stuff is the only bread worth using for corned beef sandwiches. chewy, plenty of seeds and sturdy. excellent

The bakery is so busy, especially for Hanukkah and Shabbat. Plenty of staff and so many delicious bakery goods. All the products are kosher and non-daiey (parve).Love the fact that it's family (women) owned. We love their challah. Now, I'm in love with their cake and cookies.Dietary restrictions: All products are kosher and parve ( non-dairy).Kid-friendliness: Super efficient and extremely helpful, friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: This bakery is wheelchair accessible.
I highly recommend you frequent this bakery. I am not Jewish but the quality of their goods is the best in town. I have tried all their breads and all because of how they treat me. Educated me on how healthy is the way they bake and how I can freeze it and eat it as I need it.The whole staff-owner is so happy all the time and their bread are all delicious. My favorite is marble and honey cake( only seasonal, will be looking out for Jewish holidays to come back for it).I would give more than 5 stars if I could!!Shalom
Needs more hours, but cookies and pastries are delicious! And bread!

Pricey Jewish bakery. Staff is acting like they are super busy with 3 customers in the store. Price increase on flat bread went up 50 cents per pound from Aug to Sept 2023.

I have been looking for the perfect chocolate cake for ages and today I found it! I wish I could have afforded to buy one of everything, it all looked so good! Bakery staff are quite pleasant and attentive and made some great suggestions (which I will have to go back to try)! 10s across the board!

North Shore Kosher Bakery created the gorgeous cake and delicious deserts for our wedding reception on July 31. They also made chalas and pitas for our table. Everything looked great and tasted even better! In the process of choosing cake we were able to taste mini version of the cake we chose to make sure it was a right one.Special thanks to Natalia who helped us to place the order and made sure that everything looked perfect!

I don’t think this place friendly for non-Jewish. They’re literally kicked me out when I walked in for less than 1 minutes
Love this place, a Chicago institution!
