Palace Gate Restaurant is a small, homey family restaurant serving traditional Ghanaian cuisine. The restaurant's menu can be challenging to navigate for those unfamiliar with Ghanaian cuisine, as it lacks descriptions and prices. However, the friendly staff, often the owner's children, are helpful in answering questions, and the food arrives quickly. The dishes are bursting with flavor, with standout options like Jollof Rice with Chicken, Kenkey with Fish, and Beans (Red Red) with Egg and Plantains. Customers have praised the Jollof rice for its perfect spice and great texture. The peanut soup, while not as peanut-buttery as expected, is still worth trying with the recommended rice ball. The puff puff, a soft fried bread, is also a delightful addition to any meal. Overall, the prices are reasonable, making this a great value for those looking to try authentic Ghanaian food. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming, ensuring a wonderful dining experience.
