Food was tasty, got crying tiger steak and red snapper, as well as Thai iced tea & coffee. Nice that they have an outside patio that could accommodate our dog.

2nd time here, went for lunch. Their lunch specials are about $10 which is great. Good was delicious food. I had the drunken noodles.

Paula was our server today and she was amazing. The food is always fresh, hot and very tasteful. It’s paid parking, nice small outdoor space where I ate. Try the Thai noodle soup medium spicy, help me feel better from a cold. Thanks for the wonderful service.

My favorite place in Chicago, by far.

Food was delicious, I ordered the shrimp pad see ew but i recommend getting it with beef instead. Thai milk tea and passion fruit soda were delicious. Service was great but the inside of the store was very hot so I opted to sit outside which had a glass roof and a fence around it which was nice but didn’t allow that much airflow so it was very hot and sunny. Besides that I would definitely come again!

Amazing neighborhood gem! I have to believe the bad reviews are either used to more Americanized-Thai (pad thai/whatever) or maybe hit off hours? We had a fantastic experience eating at Paula's last night.

Our wonderful, friendly server helped recommend local Thai favorites, cute/cozy setting (not fancy Mich-star vibes, more homey, family cooking), delicious and flavorful dishes. We had the papaya salad, beef boat noodles, panang curry, and mango sticky rice and all of them were excellent.

We will definitely be back :)

We came from out of town and revisited Paula Thai Kitchen after a fantastic experience on our first trip. Back then it felt like the owner was in the kitchen and every dish was bursting with authentic Thai flavor and made with care.

Unfortunately this recent visit during a late evening was a complete letdown. The food seemed to come from a completely different place. The chicken wings were burnt and nearly inedible. The crab fried rice was bland and flavorless with the soft shell pieces left whole and unappetizing. The spicy pork belly basil lacked any real Thai flavor. It resembled a sloppy stir fry with sauce haphazardly splashed on. The papaya salad with pork belly was overly sour and the pork belly seemed thrown on as a last minute garnish. The crispy curry duck was a tiny portion not crispy and had no flavor at all.

It was not just that the food was overpriced. It was that the quality was far below what we expected. That is what truly upset us. It is a shame that the current cooks do not seem to have the same passion or skill as before. This visit felt like we were served a watered down imitation of what this restaurant once was.

Had an incredible meal at Paula’s. They were accommodating of us bringing our small dog on the patio when we called ahead and were overall very friendly. The food was phenomenal, we had the chicken satay, dumplings, and nutty lamb curry. All of them blew us away. Highly recommend, especially for gluten free options!

It was very good at the Chicago Thai Festival! Their fried tofu with peanut sauce was incredible. Can’t wait to visit in person!!
