sick open DJ decks on some Saturdays! More bars and clubs need to do this because those are some of the best DJs I've heard. it seems to be a specific crowd and type of music sadly but still a great place to bring some beers and friends~

Surprisingly, many night spots in Chicago are closed on Mondays. So doing a little web search, I found out about this place having an open mic night. I decided to check it out. The gathering was a bit young for me -- most people were in their 20's. But the artists performing, who outnumbered the non-performing clientele, were quite good.No table service, but the service at the bar is good. No food, except for bags of chips. Rad little bar with up-and-coming music and an interesting and inclusive beverage list. Friend tried the NA 'new fashioned,' which was... a valuable experiment, at the least. The place feels like a clean dive bar with intentional and quirky touches. Worth stopping in, even if you're not checking out a show.
