We were the only 2 people in the restaurant and we were treated like family. Everything was delicious! I was offered a drink that I didn’t even know what it was, but it was DELICIOUS. I thoroughly enjoyed the cabbage soup (some of the best soup I’ve ever had), pierogi, potato pancakes, and sausage. I highly recommend this place!
I wanted to find good Polish food on a vacation to Chicago and this place popped up. The neighborhood felt uncomfortably sketchy. My friend and I walked into a completely empty restaurant where a grumpy owner immediately said "cash only" and sent us to the western union next door to get cash. When we came back, he assigned us a seat. He didn't let us decide what to eat and drink, he told us what he was going to give us. Love this place! The soup here is amazing, some of the best soup I've ever had. I got the cabbage soup and white borscht soups but want to try them all. The perogis are also amazing.The place doesn’t look like much from the outside but the inside is inviting and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Give it a try!!Cash only so come prepared.
