The macarons were okay but like others mentioned the bubble tea was powder blended with water and it tasted awful.
The 8 pieces of cereal dipped in liquid nitrogen was an overpriced gimmick but alas kids love it.
One-line Review: Superb Treat in a Bustling Spot!
Taste: 4.5/5 Quantity: 4.5/5 Quality: 4.5/5 Value for Money: 3.5/5 Service: 4.5/5 Hygiene: 4.5/5
➡️ First Impression: I visited Snow Dragon Shavery at 600 E Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60611, while roaming near Navy Pier, and the lively scene drew me in despite the crowd.
➡️ What I Ordered: I ordered one chocolate ice cream, costing around $9.75 including taxes, which felt a bit steep for a single serving.
➡️ Taste & Quality: The taste was superb—the chocolate ice cream was rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. The quality was excellent, with a smooth texture that made it a treat worth savoring.
➡️ Portion vs Price: The quantity was more than expected, which was a pleasant surprise, but the $9.75 price tag felt very expensive for the portion, especially given the location.
➡️ Service & Environment: The service was good—my order was ready in just 2-3 minutes despite the very crowded place. The atmosphere was great, with a vibrant energy near Navy Pier, though the hustle added to the experience.
➡️ Final Thoughts: Snow Dragon Shavery in Chicago offers superb chocolate ice cream with a generous portion, and the quick service shines even in a crowded setting. The $9.75 price was a drawback, but the great atmosphere near Navy Pier makes it worth a visit!
Recommendations for Improvement:
• Consider adjusting the price to better reflect the portion size.
• Keep up the delicious ice cream and good service!
If you’re near 600 E Grand Ave, Chicago, Snow Dragon Shavery is a tasty stop near Navy Pier—just expect a premium cost!
This is at the Navy Pier. There are so many options to choose from. They carry milkshakes, frozen yogurt, macarons, ice cream, etc. The staff is very nice. I got the espresso shake...it was amazing. I wish this place was closer to me! It is busy, but the line moves quickly. I definitely recommend them.
Totally agree with the other reviews that the only reason this place is still open at all is because it's on Navy Pier. Drinks are made with powdered mix and taste absolutely horrible, mine wasn't drinkable and when I mentioned it to the older guy there he was extremely rude. Definitely wouldn't go back.
Shouldn’t take 10 mins for 2 smoothies. Made us late for our tour.
Yummy!
Best bubble tea!!! I had the coffee flavor ❤️
Awesome Bubble Tea!
Had a strawberry milkshake too watery. The only way it gets thick by adding long whip cream

Wouldn't recommend the Dragons Breadth Cereal. It doesn't taste that good and the liquid nitrogen breadth doesn't last very long, you need to eat it within a minute.

We went here after the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel ride.
The place looks decent and has about 20 different types of shaved ice, bobas, macaroons, mochi ice cream, etc.
I got the Tiramisu shave ice. It was good and came with a marshmallow and chocolate topping with a chocolate syrup drizzle. Decent item.

Was very disappointed to see the person assembling our ice cream sandwiches without gloves on, touching the macaroon cookies with bare hands. When I asked about it, not sure what I was expecting, maybe admittance of a mistake or something, but they straight up lied. They said they had gloves on. The person who seemed in charge backed them up saying he just threw the gloves away, when it was not true, the three of us watched the person preparing the ice cream sandwiches without gloves on. Then they proceded to say that gloves are not necessary for handling ice cream, only for cookies, a made up concept (I have a food handlers cert). Boxes of gloves were above the work table, so I'm not sure why they weren't used.
I did not like this one bit, felt very uncomfortable, and decided not to accept the sandwiches and asked for a refund.
I've been here before and loved the ice cream, that's why I was here again, but this kind of unhinged behavior made me return my order and never want to come back.
