So cute and really high quality! The wait staff was very nice and personable, the atmosphere is simply delightful, and the food was amazing (and reasonably priced for the quality/portion size!) My breakfast burrito fell apart in my hands a little bit, but that's okay I fall apart sometimes too and I'm still scrumptious!!!

Hello everyone! Thank you for reading my reviews! My reviews and photos are only real! Today, Sunday, March 30, 2025, my wife and I accidentally went to this cafe. The cafe conveys real life in Chicago. People come here with friends and the whole family. The food on the menu is simple and home-style delicious. I want to say thank you for the coffee, coffee is four out of five. We were offered a wonderful table, we were able to observe the staff and visitors. I recommend visiting this cafe, you will feel the spirit of simple and real life in Chicago! Good luck to everyone and thanks to the owner!

Found this hidden gem & I'm so happy my friends & I went to have birthday brunch. The atmosphere was great, all the workers including our waitress Celine were very welcoming & very attentive. The food was beyond delicious & reasonably priced, The staff even surprised the bday girls with a bday pancake and sang happy birthday which was very much appreciated. The fact that this breakfast/brunch restaurant is BYOB makes it top of my list.. I definitely recommend and I will be visiting more often 😊 My friends & I agreed to meet at least once a month for breakfast at the Sunrise Cafe.

The reviews are great. I might have just picked the worst dish available. I had the huevos rancheros. The sauce tasted like the jar of sauce from tostitos and the beans and rice were flavorless. Very disappointing. The burrito might have been the way to go. Service was good though.
