Found this hidden gem & I'm so happy my friends & I went to have birthday brunch. The atmosphere was great, all the workers including our waitress Celine were very welcoming & very attentive. The food was beyond delicious & reasonably priced, The staff even surprised the bday girls with a bday pancake and sang happy birthday which was very much appreciated. The fact that this breakfast/brunch restaurant is BYOB makes it top of my list.. I definitely recommend and I will be visiting more often 😊 My friends & I agreed to meet at least once a month for breakfast at the Sunrise Cafe.

The reviews are great. I might have just picked the worst dish available. I had the huevos rancheros. The sauce tasted like the jar of sauce from tostitos and the beans and rice were flavorless. Very disappointing. The burrito might have been the way to go. Service was good though.

Just had the best breakfast at Sunrise Cafe in Chicago! The vibe is super cozy, and the staff is so friendly. We tried their different breakfasts, and wow, they were delicious! Perfect spot to start the day! Can’t wait to come back! ☕
Very disappointed in the portions size of the breakfast burrito. Not worth the $14 you pay for this and a small rice and beans.

I love this place. Every time I'm feeling down I go down the street to the Sunrise Cafe and it makes everything alright. The staff is so friendly, warm, and prompt, and there's a really homey, familial atmosphere. The food is top-notch and the prices can't be beat! A little bit of their coffee and chicken noodle soup will heal any wound. Add in the attentive, quick service and this may be the best breakfast spot in town.
