Popped in to bring some treats home to Houston. Very cute bakery with cupcakes, pies, brownies, cookies and rice crispy treats. We snapped up some rice crispy treats and a snicker doodle that my doodle loving husband called damn good.
As a food and event professional, I taste / sample well over a 100 Chicago-area cakes a year -- from the less expensive Jewels and Rosauers to the well, obscenely expensive. Tonight I tasted a fantastic cake and was not surprised to again see Sweet Mandy B's acknowledgement in the notes. For price, accessibility and definitely quality, Sweet Mandy B is going to be hard to beat -- so def try to get in a tasting ... and no, they have no idea who I am or why I love their cake...
Having just moved to Chicago, I was looking for a quality bakery to make my son’s birthday cake. I couldn’t have found a better place! The cake options were fantastic, and ordering was really easy. We went with a cookiesaurus cake which was not only adorable but absolutely delicious! The buttercream icing was not too sweet, the flavors and decoration were on point, and it was a good price too.
