Reviews for The Allis Chicago

Our first meal in Chicago was brunch at the Allis and it was a doozy. The interior was so pretty! Super insta-worthy and gorgeous. We were seated for brunch and ordered coffee and food. I ordered the Ultralight Beam (espresso, grapefruit, tonic water), which apparently is a Kanye reference? It was the first time I had ever had espresso and citrus together before (while it is now a huge trend in Atlanta) and it took some getting accustomed to. Also found it a bit outrageous full review

I have been here multiple times. I like their food and atmosphere. My favorites are their coconut pudding and the French toast. One thing that always confuses me is where to check in with the host. They had it right by the stairways one time and other time was right after you pass those big 2 doors.

I love The Allis for afternoon tea and for brunch. The ambiance is the major draw for me, I just am a sucker for aesthetically pleasing decor, design, architecture, all of it. The Allis fits the bill for me and the food is tasty along with it. The crab Benedict is my second favorite in the city.
