I've eaten at a lot of Capital Grille's across the US, last night in Chicago was the BEST server I've encountered. Her name was Olivia, and from the moment of our arrival she was engaging and attentive - highly professional and just very charming. On our way out I mentioned this to the restaurant's operation manager Adam Margolies, who himself was hustling around all night in the front of the house taking care of guests . Bravo guys, well done! Now just start...
The food was good but the portions were too big for us. We ordered 2 sides both of which could have served 4 people instead of 2. Our shared steak was huge which we did not finish. The service was excellent.
I may start spelling “ lamb chops” as “ perfection”. In 1994 when I first moved to Chicago I had lamb chops at the Capital Grille. You prepare them better than anyone I know, sourcing thick and bountiful chops. Love the consistency. Joe and Jose insured that we wanted for nothing and that our glasses were always filled
