This and Green Mill are my fav bars in Chicago. Has become a little more of a hassle to get in now that it's gotten more popular and they started charging a cover, but it's ten bucks and they support local arts so I don't mind that. Better than dropping twenty bucks to go into a night club playing crappy music and getting drinks spilt on ya. Def stay for the show and try one of the specials.

Honestly, there are so many great speakeasies in town, but this is not one of them. The waitress tried to act nice with smile, but her attitude was very obvious the whole time. I asked for recommendations for something refreshing, fruity, and not too sweet, and she just replied, “We don’t have that kind of drink on our menu.”
There were four of us, and we ordered three rounds of drinks, so it’s not like we were taking up a table for nothing. Even so, she came over and reminded us, “You know we have a 90-minute time limit, right?” Meanwhile, the couple at the table next to us ordered one drink each and were still there when we left. The double standard felt really disrespectful.
The stars are only for the artists performing that night, because they were genuinely great. Everything else was disappointing. The tarot card “experience” also made no sense — she handed us a few cards with the menu and then took them away as soon as she took our order, without any explanation or interaction.
Overall, it was a very bad experience. I will not be coming back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Our server who was the GM was great and had fabulous recommendations. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and alcohol selection!

A wait for 15min. Not too long of a wait even just for 1. Drinks were great. I asked the bartender to surprise me with something dry and with gin. The burlesque show was fun - happens every 45min - I saw 1 performer do 1 song. Nice that the bar has coat hangers

My partner spoke really highly of this place and wanted to take me on our Chicago trip. When we got there, the girl at the door said that they couldn’t seat us at that exact moment, but to come back at 9 and we would be the first people sat at the bar and to come speak to her again. We got a drink and showed back up at 9 like we were told to see a line wrapped up the stairs. Doorstaff was rude and told us we had to go to the literal back even though we were told we weren’t going to be on any kind of wait due to showing up before any of these people. Waited 45 minutes in the line and had multiple reservations go in ahead of us (which we weren’t even aware that reservations of any kind was even an option). Really frustrating experience and it took such a long time to get a drink despite being sat at the bar. Such a shame because the drinks were great but staff was rude and unorganized.

This is my favorite place I've stumbled across for drinks. The tarot card drink choices, ambience and show make this a must stop. Be prepared to step out of your comfort zone and try new things.
Value for money, the bartender Alex was super friendly and knowledgeable about drinks. We also got a free surprise burlesque show!!

Drifter is amazing. I appreciate the staffs and managers kindness to me even though I have autism and their food is amazing and really good. Owner Allison is very nice. The restaurant is in good condition. Amazing venison sloppy joe. Must come back. 10/10.

I went to the speak with easy with some friends. I came out of the bathroom and sat down and couldn’t see the menus, so I turned on my flash to read the menu and then I was told i couldn’t do that. As I went to turn off the flash the waitress rude and said “seriously you can’t have a flash in here in.” I was trying to shut it off and it was snippy and rude.
At that point I was done with the establishment I felt attacked because I couldn’t see the menu or turn off my flash quick enough. I didn’t even want to order a drink and I wanted to just drink water and then I was told it was a one drink min. Which I get but after the crappy tone i received from the waitress I didn’t want to give the establishment any of my money . I would not recommend based on the rude server.

It cost $100 for us to hear a ukulele player sing three made up little ditties. We kept sitting there waiting for more but that was it. Absolutely terrible.
