As regular it's a great pit stop waiting for your train. Always super busy so don't expect fast service. They are always moving and do know product. People always asking about food , nope is purely a bar. A good bar.
The Junction Pub inside Union Station is a solid spot to grab a drink and a bite before hopping on the train. I stopped in and got a personal pepperoni pizza and a Goose Island Green Line Pale Ale, came out to about $13. Pizza was hot and cheesy, and the beer was fresh on tap. The place has plenty of TVs, so it's easy to catch the game while you wait. Staff was friendly and quick. Definitely beats waiting at the gate.
The Junction Chicago is located within the Chicago Union Station Food Court. This is, obviously, a busy, transient place and the 'atmosphere ', such as it is, is quite utilitarian. It's a bit noisy which makes it a good place to get a beer, or whatever, and have a conversation which no one would overhear. Al Capone anyone?
