My boyfriend and I did the 7-course tasting menu, and it was an incredible experience, from start to finish! Everything was presented flawlessly, and so delicious! Special thanks to the manager, William, and our server, Yura for taking such great care of us! Highly recommended getting their specialty cocktails, “Boulevardier I Do” and “Gold Rush Leads to Penicillin.” Looking forward to returning to The M Room soon!

We will NEVER come back!!!$638 Dollar, 4 hour Valentine's Dinner atM Room! We have the receipt!!!!We walked out without saying anything to the manager because another wasted second of our evening would be over the top.The food was tasty, our server was courteous, professional and overall pleasant. How did he not notice though? What was awful was the length of our meal. We had 7pm reservation, it took 20 minutes for us to be acknowledged and receive our cocktail menu to boot. By the time it was all said and done we left at 1115pm!!!!!!. 4 hour meal. It's probably the longest, most painful meal of my entire 58 years of my life!!!! Guests came and left during the 4 hours. I said nothing before leaving because I did not want to make my husband feel bad, he is the one who chose this place and made the reservation for Valentines in order to try something new. We love Roka Akor and have been dining there for over 12 years (Old Orchard). He figured it would be great. I didn't want to take away from his effort, nor did I want a lame excuses from manager to make it all end worse! 4 hours for a prefixed menu is absosolutely unacceptable! The reservation was made a month in advance. The restaurant should be prepared with the number of reservations and the fact that the prefixed 7 course meal was chosen and decided upon prior to the date in question. The last jab was at the valet stand, Which is set at $16 dollars. However, we were charged $24 because we were there for over 4 hours!!!!Oh the irony!!!!

Food was just okay. There wasn't that much flavor in the food. Like it was missing salt, and acidity. There was a couple sitting right next to us who were also disappointed. They said they would go get a burger afterwards. I'd say the service was good. Very attentive waiter. We actually liked our dessert. They only had one option since it was Valentine's Day but it was still good. A chocolate mousse with a champaign gel on the side. Interesting.

Came for restaurant week and fell flat. Server was all over the place and not attentive at all, and definitely ruined our experience. Sea bass for restaurant week was best of the night.

This place is a vibe. Dark, quiet, quaint, sexy & sultry. The food is delicious, but the portions are small. The service is great, everyone is friendly. Great bar, especially if you love Macallan.

The food was fantastic! Every dish had the perfect combination of salt, crunch, sweet, smooth and sour. The sea bass cut like butter, the espresso scotch martini was great and the chestnut veloute with prosciutto sneaky knocked my socks off. I was pleasantly surprised by the wine pairings, tasting crystal clear. The staff were lovely, helpful and attentive!

Came here for my brother’s birthday and the host was very accommodating in our requests. The ambiance was great and the servers did a great job.Everyone at the table had the 7 course tasting menu and a few had the beverage pairings. After the amuse bouche and first course, we were given a family-style dish of tuna sashimi and wagyu tataki that was unfortunately miscounted. After informing the staff (as there were not 2 pieces a person, per item), the front of house manager told us we were wrong, and what the chef gave us was what we get. We (of course)let our phones eat first and showed them the evidence. The count was wrong and the kitchen refused to accommodate when the servers did their best to also help the table. The seafood dishes were fantastic (especially the scallop course!!) but the meal took a sour turn at the Wellington. The pastry was raw in the middle, and again after notifying the waiter, they informed us ”the chef states that the Wellington was in the oven for 25 min so it’s perfect.”I had to peel back the first layer of pastry to show a doughy, glistening mess. This is when the server chose to take it back and show the chef. After that not a peep came from the kitchen.I think the servers throughout the process were fantastic. The front of house manager in the grey suit needs to be fired. The kitchen needs better quality checks before sending food out.The mocktails were the best by far on the drink side, but the pairing was a more acquired taste. Some were quite heavy, but still very well done.Hope they can be better.

Fantastic service, though we went back and forth on the tasting menu and the a la carte. Definitely try the tasting menu. Some of my favorite dishes ever at a restaurant, go out of your way for the Wellington.

I would like to tell you of one of the finest evenings I've had in my life! I'm a big Macallan fan, and have been most of my life. The idea of having a meal specifically crafted to be paired with Macallan and Macallan based cocktails was something I was very interested in. I decided to have my 60th birthday at the M room with 2 other couples just before Christmas. I used to work in Chicago 10 years ago and this was great way to have a celebration with my dear friends. I email ahead of time to let the M Room know that I needed a few substitutions for the seafood courses, and the team handled this with no problem. The menu and pairings are likely to change, so I'm not going to go course by course, but will share some of the highlights: My single best bite was the Wagyu Tataki with Black Truffles. It was 2 bites actually, but amazing in subtle complexity. The best cocktail was the "Gold Rush leads to Penicillin", who would have thought that Macallan 15, Mezcal, Sherry and Lemon and would go so well together. My wife said all the seafood was good, but particularly liked the Toro Sashimi and the Seared Scallops. I enjoyed all the beef dishes, the Wagyu Filet Tartar was fabulous as was the final course of the American Wagyu Filet Wellington. Two non-Macallan highlights to the beverages included the 2018 Domaine Weinbach Cuvee Ste. Catherine Pinot Gris and the Daiginjo Sake. The best Macallan neat that I had was in addition to the pairing and was a Macallan Edition #1. While I had some of the other Editions previously, I had never had Edition #1 which is now quite a rare find. Edition No. 1 is matured in 8 unique European and American oak cask styles and sizes, each contributing their own distinct characteristics. Of those eight casks, seven are sherry and only one is American oak. It was a fantastic dram and a very rare opportunity to try a scotch this rare. The service at the M Room was impeccable, each course and pairing were nicely explained and at the end of the meal we got a copy of the menu of the courses that we had. A wonderful food and Macallan centric spirits experience that I recommend to anyone that has the ability to visit the M Room.

The staff, Kelsie and Will, were knowledgeable and friendly and walked us through every course. The food was incredible, and the beverage pairing worked perfectly. It was truly an amazing experience.

The entrees were amazingly visual and each bite delighted the pallet...the bar was amazing as well. We took the recommendations from our server Arthur (who was wonderful!) and everything selected was like an adventure...from the caviar and truffle garnished cocktail to the Wagyu to the desserts!

We had the best experience. Jason and the team were knowledgeable, friendly and so accommodating! Espresso in the martini with pistachio foam was fantastic and beef Wellington couldn't have been more delicious. Will definitely be back.

Old review, backing to last new years. I was doing a solo new years last year and decided to go on a beer and tapa frenzy. I randomly walked into here after going to green smoked meats for a beer, and this was so amazing. I wanted to reassess this dish bc I came in 8/10 belligerent, but I looked on their menu and I didn't see it. Some things aren't mean to last forever, they should be cherished in the moment I hope the day comes when it comes back, it was 10/10. Beer was standard. Workers were kind and friendly, they were making jokes w me. I'll give them a 4/5 star rating bc I liked the dish so much, but I need to come back to try the main entrees.
