I had the octopus and sea bass. Both were outstanding. Cooked to perfection. My friend ordered the duck which was also moist and delicious. Their choice of vegetables with the dishes was also well thought out- mashed potatoes with the octopus and grilled squash with the fish. A medley of veggies with the duck. Drinks and food were awesome. At the end of the day I think the costs are high, but the food was delicious.
Food was very good, as was a glass of Soave. We were seated in the quiet rear of the restaurant, as we requested. Service was fine until our check came that included a second glass of wine - that we'd neither ordered nor was brought to the table. The waiter thanked us for pointing out the error, but didn't really apologize. Be sure to check the check!
We chose the restaurant because it is close to Steppenwolf theater. We arrived at 5:40, plenty of time for the 8 pm show. We sat outside on the patio on a pleasant evening. Dinner service was slow and uneven. Three of us had salads, which we ate well before the other diner's soup arrived. It was watery and didn't taste like minnestroni so he sent it back. Our entrees were fine. We ordered dessert and coffee. Coffee came but not dessert so we had to cancel the order and...
