I had a great experience here. The food was delicious and the service was truly excellent—the staff is friendly and really goes above and beyond. I especially appreciated the generous portions and the spacious seating; it’s nice to have a meal without feeling like you’re sitting at the next table’s conversation. The decor is tasteful, though the lighting was a bit too dim for my taste. I actually had to use my phone flashlight just to read the menu! Aside from the lighting, it was a wonderful visit.

Excellent pasta. My husband and I were in Chicago for a conference and went there both nights. Some of the best pasta we’ve had in the U.S. after three years in Italy.

Lisa is the bomb and just adds to the experience. She's is the best server ever created and really knows how to take care of the customer.

Chefs request. This Griglia Misto was super delicious. I met the head Chef Rafael today; he was super friendly and kind. He asked me what I liked to eat and I said I was there for the happy hour. The fact that he took his time to meet me was priceless. I’m a people’s person. I love shaking hands. We need more Chef’s like him. I love Victory Tap because their hospitality is above and beyond. I always sit at the bar. Yaya, Adam are the best bartenders I have in the Southloop. Super attentive and friendly, and Eric the bar back is always making me laugh. I hope this staff never changes. I love them all and give them credit for being in this industry. I came from bartending/serving in restaurant and hotels years back and it’s hard work. Thank you guys!

Great experience at Victory Tap! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch our server’s name, but Samantha also helped us and was wonderful. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and overall a really enjoyable visit. Will definitely be back!

Victory is our go to restaurant whenever we are in Chicago! There are so many other places to go in the area but we always return to Victory because of the delicious food but also because of Danny. Danny makes us feel so special and like we have a home away from home!
Top picks - fried calamari and lasagna! But not matter what you get - it’s always delicious and the service is top notch! Can’t wait to come back!

My daughter and I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. It is her #1 request and I couldn't be happier. The food is amazing (meat ball salad is perfection) and the service is even better.
We have been coming here for so long because Danny is the best - he makes every visit special for everyone! It feels like a family meal at home every time we come - which is once a week!
I wish I could give 10 stars instead of 5!

A year and half ago, we ate here and loved the food and service. We booked for Christmas Eve and they were very busy, but the food was subpar. We were there after the peak and our waitress was nowhere to be found. We won't go back.

Ate here over the weekend as a first-timer in Chicago and was not impressed at all. The meatballs were extremely bland, pasta undercooked, and sauce very watery with zero flavor. Me and two other friends dined here together and even though all of us ordered appetizers and entrees, out of the three of us not a single dish actually tasted good. The only reason this place gets two stars is because our server was very nice and attentive. I can’t say the same about the hostess as we stood at the hostess stand for 5-10 minutes, with no hostess to be found, before anyone even spoke to us even though we had a reservation. I’m sure there are much better restaurants in the city for the amount that you’d pay to eat here. Wouldn’t recommend.

I have to give a huge shout-out to Danny at Victory Tap! He is absolutely amazing—and hilarious. Every time my aunt and I come in, we always request to sit in his section because he just makes the entire experience better.
Danny is incredibly attentive, personable, and consistently gives great menu suggestions. He checks in at all the right times and truly elevates the whole dining experience.
And beyond the service, the food here is fantastic and they have an awesome happy hour—which makes coming back even easier!
If you’re visiting Victory Tap, do yourself a favor and ask for Danny. He’s one of the reasons we keep returning!

Our second time there. I ordered linguine with clams: red sauce. When it arrived, the waitress saw it was not the red sauce so she sent it back. What I got back was nothing like she described. It was just swimming in a soup. The entire dish tasted of nothing but salt and oregano, plenty of both. I couldn't finish it. On the other hand my and my wife's glasses of wine were very good.
