Food was delicious, service was great, took our food home and saw a rodent in our packed salad. The leftover food is put into boxes by your server, so we’re unsure if it happened during the packing or while it was being prepared. So disappointed I wanted to eat my leftovers ?

Started with mussels in white wine and garlic, broth and bread were delicious but mussels were fishy. Loved the sea bass and papperdelle! Complimentary bread and tomato sauce were great! Service was excellent!
Very nice vibe - classic Italian restaurant decor. Some of their dishes taste really good; fried calamari and eggplant parmesan cheese - their complimentary bread was so yummy. Shrimp Fra Diavlo was below my expectation. The service needs to be improved; to be more friendly.

The food was pretty below average honestly. We got the double pepperoni 10” pizza appetizer and it was just ok. Didn’t realize it was served without cheese until it came out. We agreed that was a weird choice and it would have been good with cheese. I got the braciole special, which is traditionally served tender and cooked through. Usually simmered or baked for at least an hour. This was just seared on the outside and almost raw on the inside. I like rare steak and if I were getting a steak it would be fine, but this isn’t the way it is supposed to be served. I asked the server about it and she said that it is supposed to be cooked all the way through, they remade it. The new one was exactly the same. She then tried to tell me it’s supposed to be rare in the middle, which is wrong and the opposite of what she originally said. My husband got the Nonna’s gravy and the pot roast in it required a knife. Again, just not the way the dish is supposed to be served. The pot roast in the gravy should be fall apart tender. It wasn’t awful, I just can’t imagine us going back considering how common decent Italian food is in Chicago. Victory Tap just doesn’t stack up unfortunately.

The name does not do this place justice - I've had 3 incredible Italian meals here during my travels. The sauce reminds me of my grandmother's sauce and the restaurant has a Sardis feel. The service was impeccable, even when accommodating a party of 30 on short notice. Top of the list when in Chicago !
